The Personals is a new collage series made from LGBTQ+ archival material from 1966 - 1981 and inspired by the text of contemporaneous found personals. The development of this series has been supported by a 2023 Individual Artist Support grant from the Illinois Arts Council Agency, a 2023 Individual Artists Program grant from the city of Chicago’s Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE), and a 2024 MacDowell Fellowship in Visual Arts. I worked on this series during my 2024 Artist Residency at Latitude Chicago.
